A video documenting relief efforts by The Mount Sinai Medical Center during the crucial first weeks of the devastating January 12, 2010, earthquake in Haiti is now available for viewing.

The video captures the pain and suffering of the Haitian people, the massive destruction of their capital, and the many medical successes of the Mount Sinai team. The team of 28, led by surgeon Ernest Benjamin, MD, Chief of the Division of Critical Care in the Department of Surgery and Director of the Surgical ICU, tended to critically injured patients for 10 days, performing more than 80 surgical procedures and treating more than 200 children and adults.

Mount Sinai also delivered 4,000 pounds of urgently needed medications and medical supplies.
