Neurosurgery

The Neurosurgery faculty practice specializes in the surgical treatment of adults and children with diseases and disorders related to the brain and spinal cord. Mount Sinai’s neurosurgeons have expertise in the latest diagnostic and surgical techniques, including endovascular neurosurgery, spinal reconstruction, intracranial neuroendoscopy, functional neurosurgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, computer-assisted image-guided neurosurgery, magnetic resonance imaging, and MR and CT angiography.

We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors, cerebrovascular disorders such as strokes and aneurysms, and a number of different spinal diseases and disorders. Our surgeons also use functional neurosurgery to precisely target abnormalities and other locations in the brain and spinal cord in combination with minimally invasive, surgical approaches. As one of the few hospitals in New York state to perform stereotactic radiosurgery, Mount Sinai physicians in the Faculty Practice Associates are staff members of the Mount Sinai Hospital and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. They are fully committed to providing patients with the latest and most non-invasive treatment options possible.
