Breast Health

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer found in women in the United States, and the second biggest cancer killer after lung cancer. While there are no proven methods for prevention, an early detection gives patients the best chance of experiencing a successful treatment regimen. Breast Health physicians at The Mount Sinai Medical Center work both to diagnose the disease in its formative stages, and also to provide the most complete medical services once a tumor has been found.

With options that include surgical treatments, chemotherapy, radiation oncology, and new and emerging targeted therapies, the Mount Sinai Breast Health program is devoted to helping patients find and overcome cancers of the breast. In addition, our focus on the latest research helps to ensure that we offer patients the best options for treatment, so that each individual may face breast cancer with the full hope of maintaining their quality of life.
