The Adult Liver Transplant/Hepatobiliary/Intestinal Transplant faculty practice at Mount Sinai specializes in a number of different treatments and transplant programs. Our Intestinal Failure and Transplantation Program treats patients suffering from disabling intestinal disorders, including those receiving total parenteral nutrition (TPN) for irreversible intestinal failure. Our Liver Transplantation Program performs both cadaveric and live-donor transplants for adults, as well as hepatobiliary surgery for patients with liver or bile duct tumors and other abnormalities. Every physician in the Adult Liver Transplant/Hepatobiliary/Intestinal Transplant faculty practice is a member of the staff of The Mount Sinai Hospital and of the faculty of Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Our staff is dedicated to advancing surgical techniques, with research programs designed to discover new ways of delivering the best possible patient care.
